Kelly won 57-52. They pulled away in the 4th quarter. Next for them is Haysi. GC will play Twin Valley. Maybe a all-LPD final.

    Re: Girls Scores

I rarely disagree with your comments, BK, because you seem to have a pretty good understanding of the game. But, this is one instance where I have to.

In no way, do I think St. Paul was overrated. They had a 21-4 season which is nothing to shrug at by any standards. Some will say they they didn't have a tough schedule. Their loss tonight didn't have anything to do with their schedule.

St. Paul didn't have the fire to win tonight. Even when they played TV within 4 pts., they played with the same lack of intensity they played all night.

The Lady Panthers wanted this win more, and they deserved it.

    Re: Girls Scores

I just got back from the tourney. Guys, St.Paul is young and has alot to learn. They lob the ball slowly and do not know what a bounce pass is. They will learn. The Injuns had the flu bug bite them I was told, but I gotta take my hat off to the ladies from RC. The Lady Eagles didn't come just to be there-they came to win. We were outrebounded, outhustled, and fortunate to win. We really need to work on inbounding the [censored] ball. The 10-4 foul call disadvantage from our fine officials here in SWVA didn't help. I now see what everybody is talking about. A win is a win, and we'll take it, but if we don't elevate our game (have been guilty of lackluster play all year-youth I guess), Haysi will send us home.
BTW Vtgal: What's up with the soupbean thing that those gals were doing? Unusual.

Credit to Twin Valley. They played better tonight than I've seen them play this season.

    Re: Girls Scores

TV looked great the 1st quarter, scoring 23, but after that just had 24 over 3 qtrs. They look like they do have the athletes to be dangerous.
